It is not an easy time to be a parent. The responsibility for educating a child and preparing him or her for the adult world has always been a daunting one, but today it seems to be more difficult than ever. In a world where success is seen to be everything, the spiritual and moral development of the whole person is often untended and ignored; faith has given way to moral relativism and rights are spoken of more than duty. For Catholic parents, BICS character provides the reassurance of a complete education, mind, body and spirit shaped by the love of Christ.

BICS is a Catholic school under the guidance of the Institute of Christ the King. We believe that the gift of faith and a relationship with God is offered to each one of us every day, and we desire to create an environment in which it is possible to respond to that.

Eat Well :

Brussels International Catholic School offers a hot lunch for all its pupils. This is prepared daily using fresh ingredients. The cost of lunch is 7 € per day and this is invoiced by term for pupils who take this option.
We also wish to encourage a healthy lifestyle for all our children. To this end we do not allow canned fizzy drinks, and do not allow crisps and chocolate at snack time in the morning. Parents are asked to provide fruit for the morning recreation. Fruit juices are allowed at break times.

Garderie Service :

To assist working parents, a Garderie service is available at the school each day from the end of school until 18h00 (wednesday 17h00). Children are placed in a supervised area and encouraged to do homework (assisted by a teacher), read or play creatively, depending on their age. There is a scale of charges for Garderie supervision as these are not covered by the normal school fees. Any child not collected at the latest by 15 minutes after the end of school will be considered to be in Garderie and their parents will be charged accordingly.
