The Brussels International Catholic School community (BICS) consists of three independent schools at the pre-primary, primary and secondary levels and is located in Etterbeek, with immediate proximity to the European institutions. From its inception, it has provided an effective bilingual programme designed for an international student body.
Classes are taught in French and English.
The pre-primary school receives children from the age of 3 years, and provides a bilingual programme in which classroom instruction is taught 50% of the time in French and 50% in English. In the English section we follow the steps of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and the Belgian-French advanced programme in the French section.
The primary school follows the Cambridge Primary Programme (CPP) and a curriculum approved by the Belgian authorities. Students who complete the primary school curriculum are expected to be bilingual by the conclusion of the sixth year.
Balancing liberal arts and sciences, BICS provides studies in mathematics, the natural sciences, history, geography, and in Latin, English and French language and literature. BICS offers sports, art, music and theatre as regular subjects and arranges a variety of options for extracurricular activity.
