Year 6 Euro Space Centre Trip

One of the most anticipated highlights of Year 6 is our annual field trip to the Euro Space Centre in Transinne, Belgium. Our pupils engage in interactive learning through a variety of exciting activities that closely complement their Science classroom studies.

For instance, they board a life-like shuttle and take on different responsibilities that simulate a space journey; in so doing they learn about the preparations required for space travel. Miniature rockets are built and launched. They experience the sensation of walking on the moon or on the planet Mars during this extraordinary exercise.

The Y6 classes spend five days away, during which they forge special bonds within a tightknit group.

Year 7 Spa Trip

Year 7 students spend a wonderful week at Spa, Belgium, where they study the interaction between Science and History in a unique context. In the inspiring setting of the Domaine de la Fraineuse, our students have the opportunity to study fossil fuels.

In the mornings they have interactive assignments, and during the afternoons they relax with a variety of sports, some of which are quite novel. Cooperative learning is a constant theme throughout the entire week. Precious class memories are made and treasured for years to come.

The week closes with a particularly fascinating visit to a former mine in Blegny where our pupils are able to explore an authentic local wonder before returning home.
